Message to His Fans: I love you all! Thanks for the tremendous support for *NSYNC!

Lance Bass' talent was spotted at an early age. His mother recalls hearing him sing "Jesus Loves Me" with his sister while they were putting on a show for their parents. Lance & his sister, Stacy, would dress up, sing, & make their parents be the audience.

Although Lance's mother did some singing when she was younger, Lance discovered his love for music by himself. His parents didn't want to push him into singing.

Lance's mother describes him as a "joy" when he was a child. Apparently he was kind, sweet, & loving. Much like he is now. He was always happy & tried to please everyone. Including his teachers. He had a lot of dreams for his future. When he was five, he said he was going to be a movie star, president of 'the company' own a restaurant, & be an astronaut. Lance actually passed a NASA entrance exam, but he wanted to stay with the group, & every *NSYNC fan out there is glad he did.

The first time Lance knew he wanted to perform was when he was fourteen & at a Garth Brooks concert. He thought the show was incredible, & thought that's what he wanted to do.

Before *NSYNC, Lance's life was pretty low-key. The only musical things he did was small show choirs. He did that in eighth & ninth grade. Then Lance joined a group called Attache, which was through his school. That show toured around the country & competed against other ones. Attache ended up being the number-one show choir in the country. Attache was really where he learned how to sing & dance.

Justin's vocal coach helped Lance out in one of his first show choirs. One day, Justin called him up for a bass voice for their group, & he recommended Lance, who was flown down to meet JC, Joey, Justin, & Chris that day. They all sang "The Star Spangled Banner" together, & that was when they knew that Lance was their fifth member.

Since the day where Lance became a member of *NSYNC, his life changed tremendously. He barely ever gets any privacy, is being stalked by groupies almost every minute of the day, hardly ever gets to be with his family, & is lucky if he gets six or seven hours of sleep each night! Although he likes meeting new people, he admits that it's kind of hard not having any time to himself.

According to everyone who personally knows Lance, fame hasn't changed him at all. He's still the down-to-earth & laid back person that he was before he even started *NSYNC.

For the first few years *NSYNC was on the road, Lance's mother toured with the group because he was still young. But when Lance turned 18, she let him go on the road alone.

Even though Lance's family misses him when he's on the road with *NSYNC, they seem to have accepted the fact that he will be gone a lot & even o holidays at times.

Lance misses his family when he's on the road, but he considers Justin, Joey, JC, & Chris to be his other family. His new 'family' describes him as the buisness one of the group. This buisnessman is currently managing an up-&-coming country star.

Lance says he's bad at sports, but he likes to try new things, & he does.

Lance has achieved three of his dreams. He's an entertainer, & he met Rosie O'Donnell & Garth Brooks.

Even though being in *NSYNC is definetly hard work, Lance says that most of the best days of his life have been in the group.
