Joshua "JC" Scott Chasez first got into show buisness because his friend dared him to enter a talent show, which he won. This motevated JC to enter more dance contests, talent shows, & audition for things he never would've thought about before.

When JC's mother saw an add for auditions for "The All New Mickey Mouse Club," she saw this as JC's big chance. She was right. JC did the Mickey Mouse Club for four years.

After it ended, he moved to L.A. for a couple of months, where he learned to write by working with different people there. When he left L.A. he went to Maryland, & then Nashville, Tennesse. In Nashville, he started making demos for the music career that he hoped for.

JC had grown up with music. During the holidays, his family sang Christmas Carols as they opened their presents. The first song JC ever sang in front of an audience was Richard Marx's "Right Here Waiting For You." His parents had noticed his talent at the tender age of three, but they didn't want to push their usually shy son.

JC's parents still say he's kind of shy & quiet. They say he spends a lot of time by himself. He enjoys watching movies, relaxing, & just kicking back. But he still is young at heart. He practices handsprings in the yard. Even though is in his twenties.

Young at heart or not, JC never stops working. He'll start on something & won't stop until it's perfect.

JC loves music. Not just singing it, but playing instruments as well. His father says he'll play a guitar for about five minutes, then piano for five, & so on & so on & so on.

JC is often called the "Daddy" of the group. He always makes sure everyone gets enough rest, that everyone is where they need to be, & that everbody is on time.

JC must have one of the most unusual collections you could ever imagine. Hard Rock Cafe menus. It all got started when he & a couple of his friends were at one of the many Hard Rock Cafes, & they thought they should be different. Everybody had jackets & hats, but they thought it would be really cool to sneak out with one of the menus. In fact, once a year a pin is given out in the entire Hard Rock Cafe chain to about the five or ten best workers. In Europe, JC saw a woman with the pin. The pin was a miniature menus. JC explained his menu fetish to her & she wnet & talked to her boss, who said they could get another one. Well, JC got the pin. In other words, JC's a klepto! Unlike some before him, fame hasn't spoiled JC. He's still the down-to-earth person that his parents say he was when he was much younger, & that's what makes him so special.
